Two Rice players have added incentive to win this game, a place in the NCAA record books.

Jarett Dillard and Chase Clement of Rice
will be seeking a place in the NCAA record book Saturday night in
Memphis.
Dillard is the NCAA's active career leader in receptions, and
Clement has passed for nearly 6,000 yards in his career. They've
also combined for 35 touchdowns in four seasons, four shy of
college football's best pass-catch scoring duo.
Memphis coach Tommy West is aware of the challenges Dillard and
Clement present. In last year's 38-35 Memphis win at Rice Stadium,
three of Clement's four touchdown passes were caught by Dillard.
Clement also passed for 289 yards and Dillard had three TD
receptions in a game for the fifth time.
Last weekend, Clement and Dillard were largely responsible for
Rice's 56-27 win over Conference USA opponent SMU.
West says Clement is definitely one of the best quarterbacks the
Tigers will face all season.
